We have been discussing the role for our committee and toward that end, we have adopted a draft Mission, as follows:
“The Corporate Communications Committee of the Society of Media Psychology and Technology exists to provide academic and research resources to non-profit and for-profit organizations to better understand and make effective and ethical use of knowledge about the interface between various communications media and human behavior.”
This mission statement says who we are, whom we serve, and what we do (or propose to do).
Looking forward, we are working on our Vision and Values.
